Trump's Address to Congress and the Nation

DJT did a good job of again connecting with his base, but he had the opportunity to do so much more. He had some important accomplishments to talk about, such as the precipitous drop in the number of illegals crossing the border and the renewed hope of meaningful negotiations to end the incursion into Ukraine. He just couldn't keep a civil tongue in his mouth and had to be combative with the democrats right from the start. Unnecessary and counterproductive. As usual, he was fast and loose with his facts, such as the diatribe about people 120-300 years old being on the Social Security rolls and by inference, actually receiving checks. He persisted in painting federal workers as self-serving, unaccountable, and unavailable for work in person. He actually has the public believing that there are hordes of scheming, lazy, deceitful people in the "federal bureaucracy" and infers that they are in the DC area, living in large homes in a lavish lifestyle. Hopefully, enough people in the public will wake up and realize that federal workers live and work in the same areas as they do and face very similar life issues. I won't hold my breath.
