What Trump Does Best!

Trump does some things really well. He is a master at controlling the news cycle. He is adept at sucking the oxygen out of whatever room he is in. There is one thing at which he is the absolute master: turning one group of people against another. Who would have thought he could turn CANADA into an enemy of the U.S.? Dang those Canucks for selling us high quality raw materials and finished goods at competitive prices. How dare they be our biggest trading partner? The same goes for our second-largest trading partner, Mexico. See how quicky he turned Americans against their relatives and neighbors who are in federal civil service. He would have us believe that there are millions of federal employees in the D.C. are who get paid for not showing up to work. The truth is the only ones getting paid for not working are the 75,000 or so who took Trump's "Fork in the Road" offer and are now getting paid through September with no obligation to come to work. Now we hear angry voices parroting baseless claims by Trump and Musk. No proof, no data, just loud, angry accusations and from DOGE, hyper-inflated and uncorroborated claims of savings. Trump worshipers will accuse me of being in favor of fraud, waste, and abuse. I am not. I want to see fraud, waste, and abused stopped, but it must be done properly, respecting the rule of law. If we don't follow due process, we will simply replace one set of fraud, waste, and abuse with another.
